In a meeting deep within the bowels of Minute Maid Park, you sit across from Astros GM Jeff Luhnow and a doctor. Luhnow lets the doctor begin:
Well, you see, ha, Brady Aiken has a very small UCL.
"Okay," you reply, "Is there a structural issue with his elbow?"
No...not now, anyway.
"Hell does that mean?"
There's a possibility of a major UCL injury.
"He's a pitcher. Have you paid attention to, you know, baseball over the last 12 months? That's always a possibility."
Tommy John surgery might not fix it.
"Okay."
*Luhnow breaks in* "We would like to renegotiate the terms of the deal."
