Tomorrow, I'm going to be in St. Louis for my first taste of a live eSports event. I've been watching the LCS for 13 seasons now, and they are finally bringing the championship match to the Midwest. I'm very excited for what the experience may bring (and my favorite team is playing!)

On This Day in Baseball History

In 1960, Candlestick Park held its first baseball game, with Richard Nixon throwing out the first pitch. In the 3rd inning, the umpires protested the game after they discovered the foul poles were accidentally placed in fair territory.

In 1965, the first regular season game was played in the Astrodome. Bob Aspromonte got the first hit in the Astrodome, who also got the first hit in Colt Stadium.

In 1992, Matt Young threw a no-hitter for Boston and lost.
