Six innings and gave my team a chance to win against a really good lineup, no complaint about that.
Hinch, after watching the bullpen get nine outs without allowing a run:
We have a really good bullpen. We went into last week with one of the top five bullpens in baseball. So after, you know, getting punched in the mouth a little bit, those guys take it personal. They take it home with them. They want to finish games we're supposed to win.
*McCullers threw 45 curveballs, and got one swing and miss.
*Carlos Correa hit his first home run since May 19 and his 9th on the season. The Astros are 6-2 when Correa homers.
*Marwin was 0x4 with 3K. With runners on base, Marwin is hitting .206/.269/.299.
*Jake Marisnick was not only 1x3 with an RBI, he did not strike out last night. It's the third time this season that Marisnick has had 2+ ABs and not struck out.
*Josh Reddick took BP before last night's game, and Brian McCann played Wii Tennis while sitting on the couch with his knee up. McCann:
I'm getting a little older. So yeah, I've been dealing with it for a little bit now...Obviously, you never want to go on the DL and never want to take time off. You know it's a long season and I have to make sure this thing's right down the stretch.
*With the Fightin' J.D.'s in town, of course you want to read Alex Speier on how the Astros let Martinez get away.
