Three years ago today the Astros traded Carlos Corporan to the Rangers for Akeem Bostick. Corporan hit .178/.244/.299 in 33 games for the 2015 Rangers, spent 2016 on Miami and Tampa Bay's Triple-A clubs, and didn't play domestically in 2017. Bostick spent most of 2017 in Corpus, throwing 80.1IP, 97H/41ER, 58K:20BB - a 4.59 ERA/1.46 WHIP.
Five years ago today the Astros signed Erik Bedard, and they won the 2013 World Series.

*The Rangers aren't going to make a reactionary move to counter the 23-game lead the Astros had on them. GM Jon Daniels:
We recognized from the get-go that whether they acquired Cole or not, they're a really good club. And that's not just because of what they did last year.
