Fresno (18-16)

The Fresno Fresnoes never actually held the lead in this game, but they did stage some dramatic almost-comebacks, including a 9th inning 2-out grand slam by Matt Duffy to bring the Grizzlies within a run, but they couldn't get the tying run in a 9-8 loss at Albuquerque. Luis Cruz gave up 12H/5ER, 2K:0BB in 4.2IP; Jordan Jankowski struck out all four batters he faced; Jason Stoffel allowed 4H/4ER, 1K:0BB, and James Hoyt allowed 2H/0ER (but one of Stoffel's runs), 3K:2BB in 1.1IP.

Matt Duffy's grand slam capped a 4x5, 5RBI night; Matt Dominguez was 2x5 with a double, homer, and 3RBI; L.J. Hoes was 2x4 with a double and a walk; Carlos Correa and Domingo Santana had a hit and a walk each.

Corpus (21-12)

That's eight out of ten for the Hooks, who get a run in the 7th and 9th to defeat Frisco, 4-2. Vince Velasquez threw 4IP, 3H/2ER, 6K:4BB with 45 of his 76 pitches for strikes; Angel Baez threw a perfect 5th, Aaron West struck out five and walked one in three scoreless innings, and Jandel Gustave struck out two in the 9th.

The JetHawks had a 3-1 lead heading into the 6th before Visalia tied it up at 3-3; then the JetHawks had a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the 8th before Visalia tied it up at 4-4; then Visalia got the walkoff in the bottom of the 13th for a 5-4 win over Lancaster. Michael Feliz threw 5IP, 3H/1ER, 6K:2BB; Albert Minnis allowed 3H/2ER, 1K:0BB in 1IP; Tyler Brunnemann allowed 3H/1ER, 3K:0BB in 2IP; Frederick Tiburcio allowed 2H/0ER, 1K:0BB in 2IP; Chris Cotton got the loss with 2IP, 3H/1R (0ER), 2K:1BB, and Gonzalo Sanudo gave up the hit that scored the unearned run in the 13th.
