LHP Rudy Owens signed a minor-league deal with Oakland. He was outrighted off the 40-man in the post-season purge after throwing 5-and-two-thirds in the majors with Houston.
LHP Pat Urckfitz signed a minor-league deal with Miami. He never made it to the 40-man, but he tested my typing skills when I was doing minor-league recaps.
Best of luck, gents. Just don't bring your best stuff should you run into Houston at some stage in the future.
