Jim Callis posted the preliminary numbers for the 2014 draft today, and we find that this year the Astros have $13,362,200 to spend on their first ten rounds (which includes an extra pick acquired in the Bud Norris trade). Interestingly, this isn't the highest amount available. The Marlins have thirteen picks in the draft, so they have about $14.2m to spend on their draft picks.
And in the International draft, the Astros will have the highest amount available, at $5,015,400.
