USA Today's band of baseball experts gave up their projections for the 2014 season (Astros 5th. duh.) and had this interesting nugget, from one of eight major league scouts:
A lot of us like to bash the Astros for their new-wave way of doing things, but there's some serious talent right there. I'm not sure I've seen a physical specimen like Carlos Correa at shortstop since Cal Ripken, Jr.
Well. That feels nice, yes? Correa is listed at 6'4" 205lbs. Ripken was 6'4" 200lbs.
(Side note: I had no idea that Cal Ripken, Jr is the all-time leader in GIDPs). Anyway. That was fun.
