The New York Daily News is reporting (in an article that says Andy Pettitte will be deposed in Manhattan tomorrow regarding the Brian McNamee/Roger Clemens lawsuit - but that's not the point) that the Astros are planning to honor Andy Pettitte at some point this weekend - but not on Friday, when Pettitte will make his final start. Also, the Astros will honor Mariano Rivera before Sunday's game.
The Yankee lefty will then pitch his final regular-season game in
Houston on Friday, and his former club is hoping to honor Pettitte on
Saturday or Sunday. The Astros are already planning a pregame ceremony
for Pettitte’s Hall of Fame-bound teammate, Mariano Rivera, on Sunday,
an event that Clemens is expected to attend, which may make for an
awkward reunion.
