In JJO's newest post, there's a note about Mark Appel, who will make one more start for Quad Cities before the Astros decide what to do with him.
Appel, who has allowed 21H/7ER, 22K:6BB in 24.2IP between Tri-City and Quad Cities, will start against Wisconsin on August 11. He then could conceivably go to Lancaster and start at The Hangar on Friday, August 16 vs. High Desert or for Corpus at Arkansas.
Both Lancaster and Corpus will be in the playoffs, so we'll see if Appel gets any post-season action.
