In Susan Slusser's game recap for the San Francisco Chronicle, Josh Reddick talked about the at-bat that led to the game-winning home run against Wesley Wright:
Reddick said he was actually sitting slider, which he’s seen before from
Wright, but he only got one in the at-bat. After a check-swing 3-1 that
ran the count full, he said, “I was a little frustrated and had a
little talk with myself. Then he threw one down the middle and I was
fortunate I didn’t miss it.”
Yes. Fortunate. Throwing it right down the middle of the plate sure can lead to some good fortune there, Wesley Wright.
