With the 1st pick of the 40th Round (1187th overall), the Astros select 6'2" 225lb RHP Tyler Brunnemann from Hardin Simmons University.
According to bigleaguefutures.net, Brunneman has a strong build with a heavy fastball that can touch 95, a developing slider, a quality change, and a curve and best projects as a reliever.
In 20 appearances, Tyler has a 1.12 ERA with 9 saves and 62 strikeouts in 40 innings. He owns the HSU record for K/9 for his career with 10.7.
