With the 1st pick of the 24th Round (707th overall), the Astros select 6'1" 180lb RHP Nathan Thornhill, junior from the University of Texas.
Thornhill, a former high school quarter back, was 3-6 with a 2.21 ERA while allowing just one home run 15 walks in 85.1 innings this season.
