We made fun of Andy Pettitte yesterday morning (which was easier to do, since the Astros won G26) for not knowing Brandon Barnes' name. The New York Times has a nice follow-up piece this morning, pointing out that Pettitte had actually faced Barnes before, in Spring Training 2006.
Barnes:
“He struck me out on three pitches. Three heaters. I just
looked at all three of them; whooom, whooom, whooom.”
We didn't come out here to play tiddlywinks, son.
