A couple of notes on Jon Singleton from last night/this morning.
*Singleton missed his flight early yesterday and arrived at the park 60 minutes before the game.
*Singleton:
The adrenalin was running pretty good in that first at-bat. I didn't get much sleep last night. I was anxious. It was good to finally get out there under the lights. It's time to go to work again.
*Singleton will be at Quad Cities for about a week, according to manager Omar Lopez.
The idea is for him to see some pitchers at different levels which will help him as he moves up the ladder.
*This little post says that (one of) the reason(s) for Singleton going to Quad Cities was to strengthen ties between the Astros and Quad Cities (politics, huh.)
We didn't come out here to play tiddlywinks, son.
