Crazy, I know, that the Cubs - who have the 2nd overall pick in June's draft - will take one of the two best players in the draft. Via MLBTR we find this Gordon Wittenmyer article indicating that the Cubs will take either Mark Appel or Jonathan Gray.
Manager Dale Sveum:
"Obviously, the two big boys, Appel and Gray, if those guys keep the
velocity where it is and everything’s going good, I think it’s hard not
to take one of them guys."
