Bud Norris has been placed on the 15-Day Disabled List and Dallas Keuchel has been called up to take his place for tomorrow's start.
So what's up with Keuchel? Well, the lefty is 5-4 for OKC in 2012 with a 4.26 ERA/1.26 WHIP, with 46K:15BB. He has allowed as many homers in 80.1IP (five) as he did in seven short, largely ineffective starts (36IP) for OKC in 2011.
In his last three starts (16.2IP), Keuchel has allowed 17H/6ER, 16K:2BB.
In the process of working this up, Jayne from What the Heck Bobby tweeted out something that was exactly where I was heading: Keuchel will be the 2nd member of the Astros' 2009 draft class to make it to the Majors, joining J.D. Martinez - who was drafted 13 rounds and 390 selections after Keuchel.
