Corpus Christi (17-22) 

The Hooks were able to overcome a seven run inning by San Antonio (SD) to pull out the victory 11-9.

Brett Oberholtzer stayed in just a little too long, finishing with 5.1 innings and giving up 6 R on 5 H and 1 BB with 4 K. Josh Zeid allowed all three inherited runners to score and then got charged with three of his own to finish with .1 inning pitched and 3 R on 2 H and 1 BB. Kevin Chapman got things back under control with 1.1 innings, allowing 1 H and 3 BB with 2 K. Erick Abreu and Jason Stoffel each pitched 1 scoreless inning to finish up the game.

CF/LF-Austin Wates was 2x5 with 1 3B, 1 SB, 1 BB, and 2 R. SS-Jonathan Villar was 2x5 with 1 SB, 2 R, and 2 RBI. 2B-Jose Martinez went 4x5 with 1 2B and 2 R. RF-Jake Goebbert was 1x3 with 2 BB, 1 HR, and 2 R. C-Ryan McCurdy was 3x5 with 3 RBI. P-Brett Oberholtzer went 2x3 with 1 RBI.

Man of the Match: Jonathan Villar

*Notes:  Adalberto Flores and Jonnathan Aristil are tied for second in K/BB (7.0) among Texas League relievers. Hooks relievers are last in the Texas League with 5 total saves. The Corpus pitching staff has allowed more home runs (47) than any other Texas League team.

Lancaster (20-20) 

Starter Bobby Doran settled down after a rough first inning to lead the JetHawks to a 6-4 victory over Rancho Cucamonga (LAD).

Doran went 6 innings and gave up 3 R on 5 H and 1 BB with 3 K. Jose Trinidad went 2 scoreless innings with 4 K. Kirk Clark got the save with 1 inning pitched, allowing 1 R on 2 H with 3 K.

CF-Adam Bailey was 2x4 with 1 BB, 2 2B and 1 R. 1B-Rafael Valenzuela was 2x5 with 1 SB, 2 R, and 1 RBI. 3B-Alex Todd went 2x4 with 1 BB, 2 2B, 1 R, and 1 RBI.

*Notes: The JetHawks have only been caught stealing seven times this season, fewest in the California League. They are tied for most times grounded into double play, though, with 36.

Lexington (19-19) 

The Lexington offense unloaded on West Virginia (PIT) to bring the Legends back up to .500 with a 13-7 victory.

Jonas Dufek turned in his longest start of the season, lasting 6 innings and giving up 5 R (3 earned) on 7 H with 5 K. Euris Quezada threw 2 innings and gave up 1 R on 2 H and 1 BB with 3 K. Evan Grills went 1 inning and allowed 1 R on 1 H with 1 K.

2B-Delino DeShields went 2x4 with 1 BB, 4 SB, 1 3B, 3 R, and 2 RBI. CF-Jordan Scott was 2x5 with 1 BB, 1 2B, 2 R, and 1 RBI. 1B-Zach Johnson went 3x5 with 1 BB, 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 R, and 4 RBI. 3B-Matt Duffy was 4x6 with 1 2B, 1 HR, and 2 RBI. LF-Justin Gominsky was 2x5 with 1 2B and 1 R.
