Three of our minor leaguers received player of the week honors from their respective leagues for the week ending April 15th.
Dallas Keuchel was named Pacific Coast League pitcher of the week. For the week, Keuchel was 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 0.46 WHIP. He threw 13 innings and allowed just six hits with no walks and eight strikeouts.
Keuchel currently has the most innings pitched without allowing a run in the PCL and the lowest WHIP among starters.
Brandon Barnes and Jake Goebbert shared the title of offensive player of the week for the Texas League. Barnes hit .432 for the week with one homerun, nine RBIs, 10 runs and two steals. Goebbert hit .429 with a .500 OBP, two homeruns, 10 RBIs, and 10 runs.
Barnes is currently leading the Texas League with 17 hits, nine doubles, and a .415 batting average.
