I know it's not exactly fair to jump on the Marlins for their attendance problems, but J.D. Martinez wasn't able to get his homer, the first regular season home run hit at the new Marlins Park, from the stands. (Also, there were over 30,000 people in the seats - so that was a cheap-shot).
Martinez, on his homer:
"It's definitely awesome," Martinez said. "It was pretty cool. We talked about it and words can't describe it. I felt like it was my first home run when I hit it. That's because I got to do it in front of my family and friends and everybody."
