Here's some insight from the Hartford Courant on the George Springer signing process:
Springer:
"You can say it was difficult or frustrating, but at the same time, it's not so bad. It's my dream. I'm just happy to get going."
Courant:
Springer's adviser, Greg Genske, and the Astros exchanged proposals in mid-July and were several hundred thousand dollars apart. Negotiations did not begin again until Monday evening.
Meanwhile, Springer might spend time at two levels with Eddie's Farm, first getting acclimated in the GCL or Appalachian League, and finishing up with the NYPL.
