Brandon Lyon is concerned that there may be a cyst in his throwing shoulder - similar to the one he had removed prior to 2010. Pardon, it was not removed, just drained (hopefully you're not like me, and just returned from lunch).
Lyon:
"I have a cyst. It's still there. I just had it drained (last year). I want to make sure it's not inflammed. I just feel like when I'm going out there I'm not helping the team right now. I need to get it checked out for peace of mind, why there's soreness and weakness in my shoulder.
In other Meat Wagon news, Carlos Lee is feeling better:
"The more I got warmed up, the better I felt. Swinging the bat is not a problem. I was chasing balls in the outfield and I ran pretty good. It's just a matter of getting comfortable with the pain. It's not going to go away overnight or in the next day or two, but I've got to get used to it."
Lee may come back this weekend, and Jason Michaels is expected to go on a rehab assignment with OKC on Sunday.
