Cy-Creek native/Rice grad Paul Janish had himself a big night last night, going 3x4 with three doubles.
In his short career (111 games, 318 plate appearances), Janish had only enjoyed a three-hit game once before, May 18, 2008 vs. Cleveland. He had only had multiple extra-base hits twice in his career - both this season - before last night, and he sure hasn't had three doubles before. In fact, before last night, he only had 14 doubles on the year.
So...thanks to the Astros' pitching staff, Janish has raised his batting average 12 points in these last two games, and 11 points last night alone. Glad we could help.
