Here's one.
It's widely assumed (by me) that Joe Torre will go into the Hall of Fame as a manager, not as a 3rd baseman (though 2300+ hits, 252 HRs, 1185 RBI and a lifetime .297 average, 9 All-Star appearances - when being an All-Star was impressive - and 1971 MVP award is impressive).
So.
Should Pete Rose go in to the Hall of Fame as a player, and not a manager?
(Note: Pete is on the Ineligible List. Only the Commissioner can take him off. Even if 100% of the BBWAA voting members voted for Pete, he wouldn't be allowed in the HOF. This is a Commissioner's decision, not a HOF decision.)
