And just like that, the Astros bullpen gets younger by 12 years: Doug Brocail to the DL, the Astros call up Jeff Fulchino
“I was more worried about this one than when I blew out my elbow a second time,” Brocail said. “I’m a strike-thrower, and when I threw 13 straight balls (Friday) it’s not good. At least this way I can get the swelling out.”
It's Brocail's 13th stint on the 15-day DL.
Fulchino was claimed off waivers from the Royals in December, and had an outstanding Spring Training for the Astros.
UPDATE: Just heard on FSN Houston that Fulchino started yesterday's game at The Rock and left after two innings due to the possibility of his being called up.
We didn't come out here to play tiddlywinks, son.
