Yep. There was a reason. In the bottom of the 7th Keppinger headed over to 2nd base and Blum came in for Keppinger at third. That's because Kaz Matsui has a sore back, and is day-to-day.
This is interesting, because the last defensive play Matsui had a direct hand in before the bottom of the 7th was in the 4th, when Nate McLouth grounded out, 4-3. Matsui grounded out to short in the top of the 6th. The driver of the Meat Wagon better be getting Frequent Flier miles.
